Three years ago my daughters decided to bake a cake over their Winter break, they were 9 and 7. You can see those photos here. Once they started, I saw the opportunity as a great photo session to capture a moment in time. I didn't get involved or help, but instead let them navigate and execute which, at the time, was something that was hard for me.
Fast forward to today, my girls are much more comfortable in the kitchen, and I am better at letting go. During this quarantine, these two creative girls are having to find lots of ways to exercise their creativity, and being in the kitchen is one beautiful way (with the exception of the clean-up!). Come along and watch these girls have fun making chocolate chip cupcakes with a vanilla buttercream icing.
